We’re Malcolm & Catherine

We are the founders, owners and husband & wife team of Mac & Cat’s Kitchen Glenlivet.

We both have over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry. We both met whilst working in a resort in the Indian Ocean, and have been together ever since.

Mac & Cat’s Kitchen was originally created in a small pub in South East London back in 2012. As the popularity of our food increased, our business grew, and so did we. After moving to a larger venue for a couple of years, we ended up operating one of the largest Pubs in East London (also a restaurant and wedding venue) ‘The Royal Inn on The Park’.

After many years in London, we made the choice in 2023 to move to The Cairngorms, and specifically Glenlivet, to start a small bespoke catering company. We wanted to continue our culinary journey, create even better food, and hone new skills in a wonderful aesthetic environment that we love. We use local produce, local suppliers, whilst working in a community and area of Scotland that we love and have visited for many years, and is near to where Malcolm’s family originate in Aberdeenshire.

We both have a passion for creating and serving delicious food from a variety of different cuisines, and cater for all occasions, including private dining, weddings, buffets, canapes receptions, and corporate events. We both love the personal attention we can give our guests, not only during events but with our food delivery service, to create an experience they will not forget.

Our signature ‘Gourmet Food Delivery Service’, came about one cold night that we had arrived on holiday, rather late and everything was closed or too far away! We thought to ourselves how amazing it would be, to get a 3 course meal delivered to the door ready to eat, just like in a hotel. We now deliver regularly to a number of holiday cabin sites and rentals in the area.
